This is not a general FAQ. This section is specifically for our professional design and architectural partners, addressing the detailed technical, logistical, and commercial questions inherent in the custom fabrication process. We are committed to absolute transparency in every aspect of our partnership.
Design & Engineering
What file formats are best for submitting designs?
For 2D, we prefer .dwg or .dxf. For 3D, .stp or .igs are ideal. We can also work from .skp, .3dm, and even high-resolution .pdf or .ai files. The more precise the file, the faster the quoting process.
What is the maximum single panel size you can fabricate?
While this can vary, we can typically source and fabricate single, monolithic mirror panels up to approximately 2 x 3 meters (6.5 x 9.8 feet). For larger applications, we engineer multi-panel solutions with minimal seams.
How do you ensure color and finish consistency on large, multi-panel projects?
All mirror sheets for a single project are sourced from the same production batch to guarantee color and tint consistency. For antique finishes, we produce a master control sample for your approval, which is then used as the benchmark for all subsequent panels.
Can you assist with the design of the mounting system?
Yes, this is a core part of our service. Our engineers will work with your structural plans to design a safe, robust, and aesthetically minimal mounting system (like Z-clips, standoffs, or custom brackets) specifically for your project.
Production & Prototyping
What are your typical lead times for custom projects?
Lead times vary greatly with complexity, but a general guideline is 6-10 weeks for fabrication, plus 4-6 weeks for ocean freight. We will provide a detailed project-specific timeline with your formal quote.
Can we get a physical prototype or material sample before full production?
Absolutely. For most projects, we insist on it. We will fabricate a small-scale mockup or provide finished material samples for your final physical sign-off on color, finish, and edge quality.
How do you handle intellectual property and design confidentiality?
We operate with the utmost discretion. We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) at the outset of our conversation, and we treat all client designs as their exclusive intellectual property.
Can we visit your factory to inspect the work in progress?
Yes, we welcome factory visits by appointment. We understand that for high-value projects, seeing the work in progress provides valuable peace of mind. We can arrange virtual inspections via video call as well.
Logistics & Installation
How do you package and ship large, fragile mirror installations?
Each piece is individually wrapped in protective film, cushioned with custom-cut foam, and secured in a purpose-built wooden crate. We use specialized freight forwarders experienced in handling fragile architectural materials.
Do you provide installation services?
We provide detailed installation drawings and instructions with every project. For complex installations, we can recommend certified local installers in your area or provide remote technical support during installation.
What happens if a piece is damaged during shipping?
All shipments are fully insured. In the rare event of damage, we will immediately fabricate a replacement piece at no charge and expedite shipping. We also maintain a photographic record of each piece before crating.
Can you coordinate delivery with our construction schedule?
Yes, we understand the critical nature of construction timelines. We work closely with your project manager to ensure delivery aligns perfectly with your installation window, including temporary storage if needed.
